If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. – African Proverb
Today, I had some soul healing to do (as well as some back healing). So, I recruited one of my main girls (who, as it turns out is also a bomb candid photographer), and we went for a walk.
Although a bit of a cold, overcast and dreary start, the weather soon warmed up and we were on our merry (but slow) way. Feeling immobile and unable to function like a regular human isn’t nice. I was grateful to get out of the house for a little while and to be able to hobble along and point out the cute dogs.
I find it amazing how much a good talk with someone can make you feel so much more grounded. Not even to talk about anything in particular, just nonsense. It makes you feel clear. It gives you a good headspace and puts a smile on your face.
What is a soul? Do you know what a soul is? I don’t. Do we even have souls? I don’t know. But I do know, mine feels cleansed. It feels fresh. It feels reinvigorated with positivity, with inspiration, with hope for the future. I feel rejuvenated, alive and ready. Ready for life. I have hope for me, and I have hope for you.
I am here to talk to, to grab a coffee with, to do something crazy with. Please, hit me up – whether you are near, or far. We can be friends. I’ll never say no to more people to share life’s crazy journey with.
Taking a long walk is good for the body. Taking a quiet walk is good for the mind.
Taking a walk with a friend is good for the soul.
Sometimes you just have those people that you just click with. And it doesn’t matter what you talk about, or what nonsense comes out of your mouth, they understand what you mean, or can relate to what you’re saying. Friends like that are hard to find, so hold onto them.
